Sand Paper Drawing
Create very cool pictures with sand paper: Find some very coarse sandpaper.
Cut shapes from the sand paper, such as a flower, moon, star or animal shape. Place
your shapes under a plain sheet of white paper. Color over the shapes with a
crayon. Your shape will be imprinted on the paper! This process is also called
"rubbings" -- transferring an image to a piece of paper by rubbing over it with a
crayon. You can do it with interesting shapes on things like trees, sidewalks,
or anything with a raised surface or an engraved surface. Many people like to make
rubbings of interesting headstones in graveyards!
